Countdown to Green: SMASH HQ iRacing Season 1 Is Almost Here

By SMASH HQ — March 18, 2026

The engines aren’t fired yet — but you can feel it coming.

The SMASH HQ iRacing League is just days away from its Season 1 opener, and everything is lining up for a full weekend of competitive racing.

This isn’t practice anymore.

This is the countdown to green.

Opening Weekend Schedule

Season 1 officially kicks off this weekend with a stacked, three-series lineup:

Friday Night — Craftsman Truck Series The first green flag of the season drops here. Tight packs, aggressive racing, and now — live broadcast coverage.

Saturday — O’Reilly Auto Parts Series Where consistency starts to matter. Drivers who can manage tires, lines, and pressure will rise.

Saturday Night — SMASH Cup Series The main event. The fastest cars, the highest expectations, and where the best drivers will separate themselves.

Race Format Locked In

The league has finalized a race format designed to keep events competitive, strategic, and broadcast-friendly.

Most races will fall in the 100–150 mile range, creating:

  • 45–70 minute race windows

  • Real strategy without dragging events out

  • Consistent pacing across all three series

The season builds toward a 150-mile championship race at Darlington, where it will all be decided.

Broadcast Era Begins

Season 1 also marks a major milestone for SMASH HQ.

The Truck Series will be broadcast live on Slingshot TV every Friday night, bringing:

  • Live commentary

  • Driver-focused coverage

  • A true race night atmosphere

This is a turning point for the league — and it’s only the beginning.

Drivers: Final Call

If you’ve been thinking about joining, this is it.

There is still time to:

  • Lock in your number

  • Get placed on the roster

  • Be part of opening night

The field is filling up fast, and once the green flag drops, Season 1 is underway.

Final Word

Every league talks about competition.

This one is about building something that feels real.

From structured racing to live broadcasts, SMASH HQ is setting the tone from day one.

Next stop:
