Reset. Refocus. Reload.
After a massive opening weekend at Daytona, SMASH HQ rolls straight into Week 2 — and this time, the spotlight shifts west to Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
The chaos of superspeedway racing is behind us.
Now it’s time for something different.
Speed still matters — but control, tire wear, and long-run pace will decide who wins this week.
From Survival to Strategy
Daytona was about staying alive.
Las Vegas is about execution.
Drivers won’t have the luxury of hiding in the draft anymore. This track exposes everything:
Tire management
Corner entry discipline
Long-run consistency
Race strategy
Mistakes won’t just cost positions — they’ll cost entire runs.
Every Series, Same Mission
All three SMASH HQ series head into Vegas with momentum — but also pressure.
Truck SeriesComing off a wild opener, the Truck field now faces a completely different challenge — and once again, the race will be broadcast live on Slingshot TV.
Expectations are high, and the eyes are on this field.
O’Reilly SeriesAfter a tight, competitive showing, the O’Reilly drivers now have to prove that their speed translates off the superspeedway.
Cup SeriesThe cleanest race of the weekend came from the Cup field — but Vegas will test whether that discipline holds up over longer green-flag runs.
Early Leaders — Early Targets
Week 1 gave us our first winners:
Randy Bechdel (Trucks)
Kylan Wilson (O’Reilly)
Chris Trammell (Cup)
Now they carry something new into Vegas: a target.
Everyone knows who they are now. Everyone knows what they’re capable of.
And everyone is coming for them.
A Different Kind of Pressure
Las Vegas doesn’t create chaos the same way Daytona does.
It builds pressure slowly.
Lap after lap. Run after run. Mistake after mistake.
Drivers who push too hard burn their tires. Drivers who play it smart rise to the front.
This is where races are managed — not survived.
The Season Starts Taking Shape
Week 1 introduced the field.
Week 2 starts defining it.
Who’s consistent?
Who can adapt?
Who can actually contend week after week?
Las Vegas is the first real test of that.
Final Word
Daytona gave us excitement. Las Vegas will demand precision.
The field is set. The leaders are marked. The pressure is building.
SMASH HQ heads to Las Vegas — and this is where the season starts getting real.
