SMASH HQ iRacing League Weekend Begins Next Friday — Broadcast Partnership Announced

By SMASH HQ — March 12, 2026

The countdown is nearly over.

Next Friday marks the official start of the

S.M.A.S.H iRacing League weekend racing schedule, kicking off what the SMASH HQ team hopes will become one of the most competitive and community-driven weekend leagues in sim racing.

Over the past several weeks, the infrastructure behind the league has been steadily coming together — from the schedule page and Discord organization to race procedures and driver signups.

Now, with the opening weekend approaching, several new developments are pushing the league to the next level.

Slingshot Racing Media to Broadcast League Events

One of the biggest announcements leading into the season is a new agreement with

Slingshot Racing Media, who will be providing live broadcast coverage for select SMASH HQ league races.

Slingshot Racing Media produces professional-style sim racing broadcasts featuring live commentary, camera direction, and full race coverage similar to traditional motorsports broadcasts.

Several SMASH HQ events throughout the season will be streamed live on their official YouTube channel, allowing fans and community members to follow the action in real time.

Fans can follow the channel here:

Broadcast schedules and race coverage announcements will also be posted in the

SMASH HQ Discord as each event approaches.

For drivers, this adds another level of excitement to the league — giving competitors the opportunity to see their races presented in a live broadcast environment.

Teams Now Welcome in the League

Another update heading into the season is that

drivers are now welcome to form teams within the league.

Team racing adds another layer of competition and community to the series. Drivers can represent organizations, coordinate strategies, and work together throughout the season while still competing individually for championships.

Drivers interested in forming teams can coordinate directly in the SMASH HQ Discord, where adjustments and team channels can be created as needed.

As the league continues to grow, team standings and additional team-based elements may also be introduced.

Driver Profiles Coming to SMASH HQ

The SMASH HQ team is also preparing to launch driver profiles on the website.

These profiles will allow fans and fellow competitors to learn more about the drivers participating in the league.

Information being gathered for driver profiles will include:

• Driver Name

• iRacing ID / Username

• Car Number

• Hometown or Location

• Favorite Track

• Years Sim Racing

• Team (if applicable)

Drivers will be able to submit their information through the Discord so the profiles can be added to the smashhq.gg driver section in the coming weeks.

The goal is to highlight the competitors who make the league possible while building a stronger connection between drivers and the community.

The Weekend League Built for Real Schedules

The S.M.A.S.H League — Sim Motorsports Association Series of Horsepower — was built around a simple idea.

Not every driver can race every night of the week.

Many members work full-time jobs, have families, or maintain busy schedules but still want the opportunity to compete in organized, competitive racing.

The SMASH HQ league aims to provide a structured weekend racing environment where drivers can show up, race hard, and be part of a growing sim racing community.

Final Preparations Underway

With the first weekend of racing approaching, the focus now turns to final preparations.

Practice races, driver coordination, and broadcast planning will continue throughout the week as the league prepares for the opening green flag.

Driver signups are still open, and new competitors are welcome to join before the season officially begins.

More announcements, practice races, and league updates will be coming soon.
