SMASH HQ iRacing Weekend Recap: Vegas Raises the Standard Across All Three Series

By SMASH HQ — March 29, 2026

Las Vegas Motor Speedway delivered a defining weekend for SMASH HQ — one that made it clear this league is quickly separating into drivers who can execute, and those who can’t.

Across all three series, the message was consistent:

Speed gets you there. Discipline keeps you there.

Truck Series — Justin Michael Sets the Tone

Friday night’s Truck Series race, broadcast live on Slingshot TV, opened the weekend with authority.

Justin Michael delivered a dominant performance at Las Vegas, controlling the race from the front and never allowing the field to mount a serious challenge.

From the early laps, it was clear he had both the pace and composure to dictate the race. While battles behind him stayed active, no one was able to disrupt his rhythm.

Vegas exposed mistakes quickly, and drivers who pushed too hard or lost track position paid for it immediately.

The Truck Series continues to show depth — but after this weekend, it also has a clear standard at the front.

O’Reilly Series — Kylan Wilson Executes a Perfect Race

Saturday’s O’Reilly Series race may have been the most technically demanding of the weekend.

In a completely caution-free event, Kylan Wilson put together one of the cleanest and most controlled drives of the season so far.

With no cautions to reset the field, every driver was forced to manage tire wear, pace, and positioning over a full green-flag run. Wilson did exactly that — staying disciplined, avoiding risk, and capitalizing on consistency.

This wasn’t just a win — it was a demonstration of race management.

And it highlighted a growing reality in SMASH HQ:

Drivers who can execute over long runs are going to separate themselves quickly.

Cup Series — Anthony Marino Jr. Holds Strong in a Vegas Battle

Saturday night’s Cup Series race delivered the most competitive fight of the weekend.

Anthony Marino Jr. emerged from a hard-fought battle at the front, holding strong under pressure and executing when it mattered most.

Unlike the earlier races, this one demanded constant decision-making — managing restarts, handling pressure from behind, and maintaining pace over extended runs.

Marino didn’t just show speed — he showed control.

In a field where mistakes are amplified and opportunities are limited, he stayed composed and finished the job.

The Cup Series continues to establish itself as the highest level of competition in SMASH HQ — and Vegas proved just how tight that margin really is.

League Update — Rule Adjustments Incoming

As the competition level continues to rise, SMASH HQ will be implementing rule updates across all three series.

These adjustments are focused on reinforcing what this league is built on:

Clean, competitive, and disciplined racing.

This is not a reaction to one race — it’s a step forward as the league continues to grow.

Full rule updates will be posted soon:👉 RULES

Final Word

Las Vegas didn’t just deliver strong racing — it defined the direction of SMASH HQ.

This is no longer a field trying to figure things out.

This is a field being separated by execution, discipline, and control.

Drivers who can manage races, stay clean, and perform under pressure are already rising to the top.

And after this weekend, one thing is certain:

The standard isn’t just set — it’s getting higher every race.
